Each of the 15 songs starts with the melody (written out for you to play). The middle section of each piece is where you get to "improve" on Cole Porter's work. The chord changes and measures are shown for the middle sections of the songs, and the performer gets to improvise while playing with the backup band (on the CD). It's a neat concept - practicing (and learning) improvisational skills without wasting the time of a backup band. This is a neat book that you'll surely enjoy!

When you select one of these categories, you will be taken to a page that contains a list of items within that category. By clicking on the name of a product, you will be given all of the information specific to that item. You will also be given the option of adding that item to your shopping cart.
